Gyllynvase Beach set to host action-packed family
fun week of Life Saving Sport.
Surf Life Saving GB, the leading
charity of volunteer beach lifesavers, will be showcasing their British Life
Saving Sport Championships from the 7th to the 15th of
August. Over 1,000 Surf Lifesavers will
compete in this exciting event, sponsored by South West Water.
Life Saving Sport is a multi disciplined display of
the skills developed and used in lifesaving rescues with close ties to
swimming, athletics, kayaking, rowing, surfing and power boating it never fails
to wow its audience. Enjoy the fantastic displays on offer as competitors from
ages 7- 70 + participate in races on the beach and in the ocean using the
buoyancy aids such as boards and boats used in everyday rescue situations.
David Grose, Chairman of Surf Life Saving GB, is
delighted to announce that the Championships, which are part of the Henri Lloyd
Falmouth Week, are once again being generously sponsored by South West Water.

hope to see lots of visitors watching the competitive display of Lifeguard
skills, enjoying the trade village and taking part in the South West

Saving GB would like to encourage everyone be part of the family orientated beach
festival atmosphere and fabulous entertainment on offer with displays from the
Red Arrows, Super Yachts and live music, topped off with an amazing fire work
display. Be part of the fun, free Ultimate Frisbee coaching, Football Speed
Cage sessions on offer. Try your hand at Life Saving Sport, come and have a go
at beach flags or why not participate in the Trident Swim. This 800m swim is
